Troubleshoot Sign In

Use these checks when you cannot sign in to Gitghost AI.

Check The Basics​

  • Confirm you are using the right email address.
  • Confirm your organization has invited or enabled your account.
  • Try a private browser window.
  • Disable browser extensions that block cookies or redirects.
  • Clear only Gitghost AI site data if the browser appears stuck in an old session.

Provider Sign In​

If your organization uses a connected identity provider:

  • Make sure you are signed in to the correct provider account.
  • Confirm your provider account is allowed by your organization.
  • Try the sign-in flow from the same browser where you are signed in to the provider.

CLI Sign In​

For CLI login:

gitghost-cli auth login
gitghost-cli auth status

The browser approval code is short-lived. If it expires, run gitghost-cli auth login again and use the new code.

When To Ask For Help​

Contact your workspace admin or Gitghost AI support if:

  • You never receive an invite or verification email.
  • Your provider login succeeds but Gitghost AI still denies access.
  • You can sign in to the browser but the CLI cannot complete login.
  • Your account appears to be linked to the wrong organization.

Do not send passwords, one-time codes, session cookies, or private browser storage data in support messages.
