Troubleshoot Project Import

Use this guide when a repository import does not finish or the imported project does not look right.

Check Repository Access

  • Confirm the repository URL is correct.
  • Confirm you can open the repository in your Git provider.
  • Confirm the account connected to Gitghost AI has access to the repository.
  • For private repositories, complete the authorization flow shown in Gitghost AI.

Check Import Status

In the Gitghost AI project:

  • Look for an import status message.
  • Check whether Gitghost AI asks for additional authorization.
  • Confirm the selected branch is the branch you expected.
  • Try importing a small test repository if you need to isolate a provider or permission issue.
